In this particular case, our new client came to us with a botched gel nail job that was done earlier in the day… She wanted us to take them off for her or make them better. Yana did exactly that… She worked with what she had without having to remove them, filing and reshaping the nails so they weren’t so bulbous and working extra carefully as her nails and cuticles were very sensitive. Alexander McQueen lives on at The Studio by MikaDoesMakeup… (through our skulls nail designs, that is…) The ever so memorable skull design that the late Mr.McQueen made so popular were recreated on Yana’s clients nails in our Vancouver nail/beauty salon… Yana started with an OPI gel soak off base coat, then a black all over colour (OPI Black Onyx). With a white acrylic paint she drew on the Skulls, then cleaned up & filled the holes with a black acrylic paint then sealed her work of art with the OPI gel soak off top coat. Everyone and their dog is growing the best “MO” they can and the people who can’t grow them (ie. us ladies) can have fun with it and get fun ‘staches drawn on their nails and things… At The Studio by MikaDoesMakeup we have seen a lot of cute little moustaches painted on our clients’ funky gel nails and natural nails.
